Because animals are raised for meat and consequently we have laws that cover their well-being.
Maybe look into the fur trade, see how some animals are skinned while they're still alive. See how some animals are killed by having a hot poker shoved up their arse so as not the damage the pelt. If people really don't understand why the fur trade is bad it has to be because they know nothing about it.
As for people saying she made a mistake by "accidentally" wearing it, give me a frickin' break.
Anyone who wears fur is scum, in my opinion.
