I don't think a person would be sacked from a job for having (legal) porn discovered on a work computer for a different job, nine years ago.
Of course he should, he was a parliamentary worker who looked at porn in his place of work.

He was only investigated because he was trying to dig as much dirt on the Labour Party as possible and used a young civil servant to dig that dirt. The civil servant was sacked whilst Green, who had instructed this man to do his dirty work, got investigated and that's when the porn was found. Green along with the civil servant should of been sacked 10 years ago.
