Yeah, if I'm struggling to think of something I'll opt for a gift card if I know they like clothes, amazon, music, games etc. Just 20 quid in a card is a little naff.

Whenever I've got it, it's gone in my wallet and it's what I've used when buying my dinner at work or something.

At least that way they get themselves something fun that you paid for.
Not just saved you ten minutes to draw cash out for a bacon bun.
