Yeah, that's the one thing I never really ~get~ about the showmance detractors - the cynicism. I don't love showmances, but that doesn't mean I think the majority of them are fake. I think it's perfectly possible and in fact quite likely that you could get to like someone a lot in a short space of time. Where else do you first meet someone by spending 24 hours a day living with them? It usually takes weeks, months and years because dates and whatnot are spread over a longer period of time. So I do think most showmances that begin in the house are genuine, whether or not they can work in the real world is another question altogether however.

For me, showmances are only worthwhile if they act as a vehicle to entertaining content. If your relationship is a mess and/or is affecting the rest of the house, I'm game (see: Steverly, Chiggy, Steph and Jeremy etc). If nothing's happening, I'm not interested (see: Kris and Sophie, Scotty and Megan etc).
