May I put a different twist on things.

Didn't Ashley say she is a DJ?

Wouldn't knowing Genuwine and all his contacts be a massive boost to anyone in the music scene. She has an instant access to his circle and accessibility because of being close to him.

Is it not Ashley being used but the other way around, she is playing him.
