I think Andrew is self-obsessed, he talks rather than listens and he thinks he's always right.
However, I do think there is some truth in what he is saying- other people have said they moderate their behaviour around Ann, whether that is due to respect for her or fear of upsetting her.

In all honesty, although I don't particularly like Andrew, I think he has contributed a lot more to the show than Ann and would prefer him to stay over her as I think there is potential for more drama from him.
