Cool career choice. I previously wanted to be a journalist, but at the moment am not as enthusiastic about the prospect as I used to be. And I know that enthusiasm is extremely important if you want to go into the profession, so make sure you have that because that’s half of the battle won. If you have an eye for fishing out storylines, ideas etc. and are creative that’s all the more useful.
A good command/grasp of the English language is obviously important, but even so, within the journalism field there are plenty of job options as with any other profession, therefore the choices may well be hard to get in to but they won’t be limited. I’m not 100% sure as to which college course you should take, but I would assume English/English Literature would be quite useful if you’re thinking of doing A Levels at college.
Otherwise, the only other advice I can think of giving would be to read plenty.
