No excuses are being made and good for you your gran was so accepting but not everyones was,that is a fact , people have different views on things ,simple as,I do not see her as homophobic or a bigot just some one with very strict traditions and a strict upbringing, I know my grandparents believed in a man and woman being married and having a family even divorce was frowned upon then, a man and a woman 'fit' they were brought up in a different time and generation and because everything is so in our faces now and anything goes does not automatically make it right,some people seem to have a massive chip on their shoulders about what we should and shouldn't like,just let people be.
