Thats the absolute crux of it. People are so used to those negative personality traits that they don't trust someone who is nice.

The woman literally voted against gay rights, has done nothing but cringe and roll her eyes every time the 'gay' lifestyle is brought up in the house.

Entirely different in Anns eyes. She's an advocate of a patriarchal society. She's a misogynist.
Seeing a man display feminine attributes doesn't sit well with her because she's so used to 'men being men'.
Amanda is a woman so it doesn't bother Ann as much because she sees women as second rate anyway.

What a breath of fresh air on this Forum. Someone was tells it as it really is. I 100% agree with everything you've said 'elliebrew'.
I could also add that this is supposed to be the Year of the Woman. Celebrating emancipation and equality. Ann celebrates quite the opposite. She opposes equality be that gender or sexual.
Equality and Ann are an oxymoron, pure and simple. And let's not forget that when she was in Government as a Minister she made sure that women prisoners giving birth did so whilst chained to their hospital beds!!! Who but a vile and nasty person could have ever sanctioned that one?! None other than Ann Widdicombe!
So let's just knock this celebration of a bigot and a homophobe on the head here and now.
Let's also stop this hatred of Shane L/Courtney Act who is everything Ann isn't. If you ever needed a good friend I know who I'd choose: Shane L/Courtney Act.
