I'd imagine most people who don't have equal rights would want equal rights, surely? Not specific to sexuality, just as humans. Not everyone should have to campaign for them though, there's nothing wrong with showing respect for other people who campaign for them who have campaigned for them in the past though. The whole 'does it define you' thing, well no it doesn't but in terms of talking about equal rights it's other people who used sexuality to define and determine how lgbt people should be treated, so the 'being defined by' was imposed onto us and fighting for equal rights is a reaction to that and is actually a way towards no longer being defined by it and being treated the same as everyone else..
