It’s not everything. But it’s a HUGE part. Most gay people grow up in constant repression of who they are. We grow up in a straight world. Where everything is geared towards straight people and that being the norm.
“Oh he’s gonna break some girls heart”
“She’s gonna make a great little wife”
“Boys don’t play with dolls”
Being straight is the enforced norm.
