As for the rest of your post, people fighting for equal rights and for the right to not be scared that they will be without family or friends or a roof over their heads if they dare share their truth are not 'whining' or 'self absorbed'. You have no ****ing clue what it's like and you lack the empathy to ever understand it. You should be thankful for the former but saddened by the latter, your life would be richer for it if you could empathise with people outside of your own viewpoints and situation.
