She has homophobic views but she doesn't hate gay people and it's really no different to a man with sexist views having a relationship with a woman... I don't think I've ever heard anyone say 'a man can't be sexist if he has a wife'.
Her homophobia isn't so extreme that it entirely shapes how she treats individual gay people on a personal level.

I think nobody is defending her views they’re just sick of people trying to incriminate her on her political standpoints when big brother is about people not politics
