Also hey guys! New to the forum! Been reading for a while but finally joined because I wanted to post.

But yes, I was thinking a similar thing. The tweets the Auditions account sent out was heavily to unis and students unions and, conversely, sports clubs which were obviously related an older audience (I think it was bowls? but could be wrong). My initial thoughts were that this theme could be Old vs New, or something in that vein, but now I think it could be more like Big Brother: Generations instead? Clearly following CBB they want debate, and the difference between Ann and Shane in age was somewhat a reason for their conflicting beliefs. In the wake of Brexit, and after a failed attempt last year with The United Kingdom of Big Brother, it makes sense to me that they'd want to capitalise on the difference between those of a millennial age and those who are older in terms of views and opinions, especially in relation to that state of Britain at the moment. Essentially, this series could well be 'woke vs unwoke'. With 'Generations', it's also a big enough umbrella to allow all sorts off tasks and twists. Former housemates could easily return, as with TimeBomb, and the decor could echo previous houses. Maybe even, if they were to take the theme further, have different rooms echos different decades? As a potential send off, it would be beyond ideal for producers. They have enough free reign to go back to basics, but also to spice it up enough that it might attract a 'younger' audience, and can cram enough nostalgia in if they do decide to see it off to appease viewers who've stuck with the show from day 1.
Welcome to the forum!

I agree with everything you’ve said there. Starting with CBB21 they seem to be going with a theme that tackles issues, so for Year Of The Woman it was about tackling gender stereotypes and I think for BB19 they’ll do a age/generation thing to tackle age stereotypes
