The memory of childhood will always be with you. You can revisit it at any age and feel the warmth of those times. You just have to find time to do it. For most of us we don't have the time to look back and enjoy reliving those moments in our minds because we fill our minds with mindless TV to forget the problems around us that affect us today. Things like the pressure of exams, work, money or family life.
I guess it's not until we are really old that we start to look back and remember and pass the memories on to younger generations and some people don't even get to do that.
It might be sad that childhood leaves us all but we all have to grow up and that has it's pleasures too if you find the time to enjoy them and the have right frame of mind. A friend, who I have known for school, use to say me "I work so I can afford to play". Playing is the most important thing he does. He can't see the point in working if he can't have some fun so he jumps out of aircraft at 10,000 feet and has a wonderful time and gets drunk in the pub afterwards. I understand where he is coming from. People tell us you must do this and that, but what is the point if it is not fun too. It's your life so have fun. Just do what you need to do to earn the cash and spend it on what you want out of life.
Live for today, enjoy the past and look forward to the future.
