You have a point, I was always wondering why Brian was so surprised that Pauline was a fake. We know he watched the earlier weeks of BB AUS, so he definitely would have known that the Diary Room she was sitting in was not real.

If he knew who Bodie was, then he wasn't lying about watching BB AUS, which means he was just acting shocked when he was told by BB that Pauline was fake.

But for all we know, the producers might not have realised that Brian might see that Pauline was fake until the last minute - I mean, they have messed up every other twist this series so it is very possible they didn't give this possibility much thought, and they might have told Brian to act like he was oblivious to the twist so that it wasn't spoiled for viewers.

I don't really care anymore because the series was over and Brian always over-exaggerated about everything.

I agreed with him at the time about Carole as well, she was always nosey and thought she knew more than she did. Like when the housemates tasted crocodile sperm except it wasn't really crocodile sperm, it was fake. They brought some out and Carole tasted it, and said "Yeah, that's definitely crocodile sperm", when in fact it wasn't, which she would've known if she really did know as much as she pretended to.
