 Yeah it's being produced by Bad Wolf and New Line Cinema. Whether Lin-Manuel Miranda has actually joined or is merely in negotiations seems to vary depending on the report atm. 
I can't wait to see who's playing Mrs Coulter tbh.

 I watched it when it was in cinemas (just over a decade ago now 

) and liked it but I hadn't read the book at that point but I've always been aware that the movie apparently sanitised the more anti religious subject matter.  Since I've now read Northern Lights I need to rewatch so I can compare it properly, but I already know I'll be annoyed by them completely cutting off the book's ending just because they wanted to save it to open the sequel that never happened.
