I'm a performing arts GCSE student myself, so I understand what you mean.
You should attend a theatre school, be good at drama, and keep your eyes out for auditions.
Chances are, someone with a talented background will be chosen over you, unless you're REALLY good.

I hope to do a BTec in Musical Theatre next year, so I'd be open for acting/TV.
