Im not sure how old you are however, but some people join at a very young age and may have much more experience.

They'll most likely recommend agents, where auditions are taking place etc and it'll enable you to get in contact with people and make as many friends as you can.

As ive been told, if you latch yourself onto someone higher up the chain than you, they'll drag you up with them. Then once you get higher, latch yourself onto someone even higher until you get to the position you want to be in.
