Ive expressed my views far too many times on religion in the past, so I really don't have the patience to explain myself fully...
But all I will say is that im atheist, religion causes more harm than good, and if you have a relatively decent head on your shoulders/preferably good intelligence then it's ridiculous how many arguments can be presented proving religion as false.
Whereas religion doesn't have one argument in its favour. Opinions maybe, but a genuine argument based on facts it seems not.
If people are genuinely made happier through religion then im pleased for them, but in my opinion they're deluding themselves into false senses of security and love from god. Not to mention it making it ten times easier to cope with the fact you're going to die, if you think you're going to a magical place full of happiness.
The very concept of religion is ridiculous, it's only accepted because it's common place amongst the world and taught to people as children. It's a device to bring meaning into some people's lives, for those who are lacking something.
