Soap villian Phelan is set to make a surprise comeback in a unexpected Easter Sunday episode, Phelan died on Friday after soap legend Ken decreed that he must be put to death, Phelan made a grueling journey to a lighthouse where he was killed by being pushed into the cold sea.

Sunday's episode will begin with Seb visiting Pat Phelan's tomb, which he will discover empty, only to be confronted by a living Phelan, will young Seb find himself smited by All Mighty Phelan?

Phelan's ressurection follows a recent storyline where Rita was injected with Gamma Radiation and went on a rampage in Weatherfield, shouting "BLOODY TRAMS" and soap boss Kate Oates dropped some hints recently about Russian President Vladimir Putin taking over Newton & Ridley, soap boss Oates said of the development "We believe the soap needed more outlandish storylines, as the soap is currently more realistic than the modern world"
