Gateshead to be more accurate, as it is south of the River Tyne, although it is well away from Gateshead town centre.
The one in Newcastle City centre is the Eldon Square Centre now under redevelopment.
The Metro centre is an out of town shopping centre so I very seldom visit it if I can avoid it.
Ironically, this temple to Mammon, opening on a Sunday, was once owned by the Church of England.

LOLL Its the biggest shopping centre in Europe. Its in gateshead yes. Metroland is stil there.

Eldon Square is open but just knocked down one mall to make another and the metro they got rid of asda for a new mall
