meanwhile Putin making threats to europe, it just comes across to me as wanting europe to back down from their support for ukraine, but if russia can't defeat ukraine, i doubt Putin seriously wants to go to war with europe and NATO, and i doubt there'll be any good will from russian civilians left towards Putin either, because i don't think any russian civilian wants to be just heading for their graves

although since Putin makes these statements too, good on NATO boss Mark Rutte for doing the same level of alertness basically
Ukraine are just an easy target for Russia, because not in the EU and not a part of NATO either closest NATO country to Russia are some of the Baltics (Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia) and some of the Nordics (Sweden, Finland)
