Default Stephen Flynn is the New SNP leader at Westminster

Great News

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotla...ign_type=owned

[Mr Blackford said he believed it was time
for "fresh leadership" after five years in the role.
He said he would formally stand down at the
party's annual general meeting next week.

There has been speculation in recent weeks
that some SNP MPs were plotting to
replace Mr Blackford as group leader.]

Shame, I quite like him tbh. It's nice to see passion in politics.

I'm rather sad at this too.
I like Ian Blackford.
He's often been very effective in his firing truths against the run of PMs we've had inflicted on us this last year.
Even moreso than from Labour and the Lib Dems.
I wish him the best for the future.

He may be a hard act to follow actually.

Agreed. Starmer is too "straight" and lawyerly, Corbyn was just an old man yelling at clouds; the Lib Dems have virtually no visible presence.

He's only 61. I thought he was about 73!

Can’t stand the guy …

I’d be happier if he was simply retiring from politics full stop

Odd choice.
It will be interesting to see his first exchange with Sunak.
