Default BBUK can learn a thing or two from BBUS!

After watching many seasons of BBUK and listening to all the complaints about the format, I recently got into BBUS. I have to say I'm stunned at the difference. There are things I like about both formats. I have to say that BBUk can learn so much from BBUS. look how popular BBUS is. they hardly ever have walkouts or ejections. Whoever joins, stays. Everyone is determined to win the game. Everyone plays their hardest in the tasks. The ratings are through the roof. They are not in danger of cancellation. What can BBUK learn from BBUS?

here are the list of things I like a lot more on BBUs than BBUK, which BBUK should really incorporate:
  • The House. The house is not gimmicky. It's spacious, it's beautiful, it's comfortable. The yard is huge. People are allowed to read. HoHs are allowed music. The people don't feel like theyre going off their mind, because the house isn't claustrophic. It's pretty. There are several bedrooms. There is privacy. It's not gimmicky. It's not designed to deprive the housemates or make them feel like theyre losing it. You never see people crying int he diary room and wanting to bail. They LIKE being there. they WANT to win. BBUK would do much better if they made the house spacious, airy, and cozy, with lots of room to air out and hang out in.
  • The tasks. The tasks are AMAZING. well thought out, well planned out. again, not gimmicky. The yard is spacious, the tasks are beautifully set up and presented. Everyone wants to play. Everyone tries their best to win. Since they have 3 tasks a week- HoH, PoV, and food, there is a lot to look forward to. I love watching the tasks.
  • No overkill. There are only 3 highlight shows a week, and it focuses on the gameplay and not the petty arguments. There is no overkill. There arent 1000 of spinoff shows. Having a nightly highlight show in which they have to force a story, is what kills BBUK.
  • All the housemates are normal. While there is always the token gay guy, minority housemate, middle aged housemate, or wahtever, the housemate are by and large a pleasure to watch. Theyre determined to enjoy themselves and win.
  • No halfway housemates, and a shortened time period. 14 housemates, 9 weeks, and that's it. whoever is in, plays. We dont need to shake up the formate in the middle with new housemates. we dont need a halfway house, golden ticket holder, girlfriend coming in midway through.
  • IT'S OKAY TO HAVE A GAMEPLAN AND IT'S OKAY TO WANT TO WIN. No, I dont like the format of the housemates voting each other out, and I enjoy the british verson of the game, it's not a crime to want to win this game and to try to figure out how to win this game!
In short, Endemol UK should really overhaul the format by providing a nicer house, better tasks, and better housemated. not the overgimmicked, over twisted, over crazied version they currently have. They shoudl take some pages out of Endemol US's book and spice up the format. Just my 2 cents.

Your 2 pence are welcome!!!

I live in Brooklyn, NY. I dont own a TV. I never heard of BBUK until CBB7, when I followed it only to keep track of Stephen Baldwin, of whom I used to be a fan. After that I got hooked onto BBs 7-10. Now I'm here for the last ever BB!

By the way, I'm Jewish, married, and mom to 2 little boys.

BB11:

LOVE: Mario. Josie. Dave. Steve.
LIKE: Ife. Caoimhe. Ben. Sunshine.
OKAY: Rachel. Nathan. Corin.
HATE: Shabby. Govan. John-James

Excited about an Orthodox jewish guy going on BBUS12!
