Default Morning Alarms

When I was a bit younger I could use alarms to wake me up in the morny, but now I cant hear the bloomin' things go off. I set like, 3 alarms on my mobile phone to go off and still its not enough to wake me! Must be a heavy sleeper now, as its loud enough.

So, can you hear alarms or are you another who rely on your parents to get you up? And they can be useless too when they just give a call which you dont hear, and you end up waking up naturally at like 12-1pm.

I dont have a alarm I wake up by myself. My cats like to claw on the carpet at the same time every morning during the week so that is my 'alarm clock'

My alarm is Greatest Day so I always hear that. Once when I was sleeping outside Wembley someone was playing Greatest Day and I woke up!

Same Jords lol. I have 4 alarms set. All have sleep after 5 minutes. Times are something like: 6.03am, 6.09am, 6.12am and 6.21 am.

Some mornings I hear them, some I don't.

I hate my alarm, it enrages me so I always get up quickly to turn it off. I suppose that's a technique to consider. Make it a god awful sound you can't sleep though....like a Ke$ha song.

Why would you have alarms at such strange times

Because they all have a sleep of 5 minutes.

It's so they don't clash.

I put my alarm across the room on the top shelf, and it will just keep going until i do something..

So i have to jump out of bed and stop it.

IT really helps getting you up.. well used to have been doing it since i was 15. used to get up now i jump out of bed turn it off and go back sleep.

I set my alarm and phone alarm. My actual alarm clock is the worst sound in the world. I HATE it with a passion. Usually wakes me though, just so I can switch the fecking thing off

if you regulate your sleep pattern (ie go to bed and get up at roughly the same time 7 days a week) you will have no problem waking. It may also be worth while allowing more light into your room in the morning.

A tip you may or may not find useful:

I was told to ensure not sleeping through the alarm - to bang my head on the pillow ie 6 times if I want to get up at 6! It may sound daft - but it works for me! On the odd occassion I forget to do it - I usually oversleep! Make of that what you will!

My first alarm is the radio. I wake up at 6:28AM just in time for the start of the Chris Moyles Show. The cheesy song wakes me up

Then I set about 6 alarms on my phone, with 10 minute gaps inbetween, up until about 7:30. That's just incase I fall back asleep.
