Default Pete Burns and Co.

When I first saw Pete Burns on BB I actually had nightmares about his face. Now I am having nightmares about his behaviour.: how does he get away with telling people to ******* off? I suspect quite a lot of housemates can't stand up to him. And who would want to. If anyone dares to contradict him they get a mouthful of abuse. And I agree he does have a quick turn of phrase but he doesn't seem to like anybody really. I do have a question though. Is it just me or do people who inflict such drastic plastic surgery on themselves also have personality transplants. Because not only do they all look the same (Jackie Stallone springs to mind) but they all behave in the same way. Attention-seeking, outrageous behaviour, chronically bad dress sense, nastiness to others and a total disregard for people's feelings seem to be traits prerequisite to going under the surgeon's knife. If what we see on the surface is Pete Burns, what the hell is he like on the inside? At the turn of the century people flocked to the travelling shows and paid money to look at the 'freaks'. So nothing has changed much
then.

With Pete you need to be able to take a joke and realise that it is all front, Deep down Pete is a softie I think. His humour is sometimes debateable but thats all part of the entertainment. Pete is harsh but lets be honest most of what he says is quite true and he is a very smart guy. His comments can be seen as mean and ott sometimes I know but thats part of how he is. He says what everyone else thinks and isnt scared to stand up and speak what he feels/thinks.

I agree with what you are saying Glitter - the only problem I have is that his behaviour is not normal is it - if I had something to say I would say it but I am more than able to say it without being down right rude to people.

Being Pete isnt an excuse for rude behaviour, I wouldnt let someone speak to me that way ! I would be appauled and would feel the need to challenge their behaviour ! I would need to say something that acknowledged their opinion but challenged the way it was put!

Just my 2 pennies worth!

I really think that people take Petes forthright behaviour a bit too seriously. It is refreshing to have someone in the house who does'nt act two faced and speaks their mind.

Its a bunch of celebs locked together for 24 a day , they are all slagging eachother off, the differnce Pete wil do it to their face.

It saves the cringeworthy scene of Rula talking behind Traci's back whilst not knowing that she was litterally behind her back (bblb this morn , hopefully highlites tonight).

Pete is Rude but funny with it.He cannot be a total nightmare in the house if he only recieved two nominations this week.

As for the plastic surgery..his money, his body, his choice.

Not bothered at all about the plastic surgery like you said Stoney thats his choice. I just find his whole manner awful. But I suppose it is horses for courses because Michael is quite rude when he isnt getting his own way as well!

You have to look into why he is that way, as his face isnt quite the normal kind he has to stand up for himself and I think alot of his "rudeness" has just come from alot of years abuse from others. I think his way of taking no rubbish from anyone is a good thing. Alot of the time people are far to serious and dont know when pete is being serious or when he is joking because he is good at not showing a smile/grin/scowl etc to back up what he says.

From the start on his walk in he had some comment from the crowd and showed them the middle finger. That showed how he was from the start that he isnt scared to stand up for what he thinks. The only time I personally think he has been rude was when he had no cigis and was uptight about it and snapping at everyone.

Plus the fact that Chantelle didnt vote for him showed alot to me, she knows he is joking with her. Alot of people on forums think his unfair commenting on the dumb blonde thing but its just humour. Even when he talks about Preston and Chantelles relatiionship they know its all in good fun and neither of them voted for him to go. So that shows they understand his humour.

I honestly don't care about Pete's face. As I've said before, it's his face and his money - he can do what he likes with it. But (and I've also said this before - sorry for repeating myself), honesty is often given as an excuse for rudeness. You can be honest without being rude - and sometimes, it might be better not to be honest...I don't mean that anyone should tell a lie, just that sometimes it's better to say nothing at all!

Having said that, Pete is a fantastically entertaining housemate, and I hope he doesn't go tonight - although I think he will.

The guy is hilarious late at night , when its usaully the Pete and Barrymore show.Sure it is Bitchy humour , but not particuly cruel.

I'm not sure how many of you catch the 1am/2am E4 slot but its almost like a show inside the show. The others have gone to bed and the insominiac Burns and Barrymore just riff for about an hour, usaully at the expense of other HM's , but usaully really funny.

Whens the 'late show with Burns and Barrymore'coming out ?

Yes it is, and it's better to talk to someone's face I agree. But Pete could talk to someone face to face without being rude (or could he? I'm not sure he can). Plus, he does bitch about people behind their backs anyway.

But he also says it to their faces which is the difference between him and most of the others. Pete is not as two faced as the rest. I think pete and barrymore got alot of stick for things when really its been George/Rula who have kicked things off and then sat back and watched things explode. Petes no angel we all know that but he is very blunt and honest.

I like the fact that if Pete has anything to say then he generally says it face to face, i dont think he could ever sort something out being civilised though it usually ends up in an argument, he still bitches alot though as well.

If you look at other Liverpudlians they also share the sense of humour of pete, maybe not with all the swearing but its very similar. Pete is a witty character, and he is VERY quick whitted which makes the show great to watch because you dont know what comment he will come out with next.

I spend a lot of time in Liverpool as my brother lives there, and I love the Scouse sense of humour. Don't get me wrong - Pete can be extremely funny and I don't want him to leave tonight (unfortunately I think he will be leaving though), because I think the house will be completely dull without him.

I also agree with what you said on another post - George is far worse than Pete - but don't get me started on George. I can't stand the man.

I think Pete is a very intelligent and interesting person.

I am sure, because of his unusual apperance he has had to be very tough, which is why he says what he thinks and wont take any ******* off anyone.

Everybody is bitching! When you get that many flamboyent charachters craving for the limelight in a fishbowl situation, it's bound to happen at least, with Pete you know if he says something behind someones back it's not something that he wouldn't say to their faces.

I would hate to see him go. The entertainment value of the house wouldn't be the same.

George is more of a manipulating bully, he starts things then sits back and lets them explode and seems to get pleasure in that, where as pete just has a big gob and is stright forward tells you what he thinks.
