People who are claiming benefits?

We all know that a fair amount of benefit claimants are having to claim to survive and that we can all understand.

But the vile way Dee has come across especially the last week is starting to show the other side of these claimants..

A lot who have NO intention of getting off benefits and lets be honest if they hadnt done the programme does anyone really think that Dee would have got off her arse and gone out looking for work?

I feel sorry for the people who really want to get back into work and cant to be labelled with a person so vile as Dee....

Dee didn't get of her arse and went looking for work. Work came to her because of her notoriety on benefits street. If the program never happened she would still be controlling that street and playing Isis. (BTW Isis was the first mother figure in Egyptian history some 2500 bc)

What disgusts me is that she has made more money from being famous for claiming benefits than from people like my son who works all hours to earn a decent living...and still struggles.

My son has a great personality, caring, thoughtful....but he has morals to match. That's where I generalise...and there are many others out there like him.

The point is that the vast majority of benefit claimants are genuine. They come from all walks of life and are perfectly entitled to whatever they receive.

A small proportion abuse the system, and she is one of those. Nothing to be proud of because they are taking money away from those that genuinely need it. I find it difficult to understand why she is being rewarded for that behaviour by anointing her with pseudo celebrity status.

I've seen nothing in this show that suggests to me she has any redeeming hidden qualities or reasons for cheating the way she did.

thats not true, do you have figures to back that up? I know loads of people who fiddle the system and have nowt wrong with them....although i agree about dee, shes a twat , a fake scronging thieving twat. who the media have deciede to make famous precisely because shes a fake scrounging thieving twat

Love his work ethics too , if he was a single parent the state would provide for him until his children were 12 years old, so he could stay at home and be a great Dad .

You get good people who don't work.
Dee did work before she helped herself to other peoples money, so perhaps it's not that straight forward and simple to call people who don't work scrounges.

My quote had nothing to do with supporting Dee.

It was about her personality/whether she's a nice person or not has no bearing on her reasons for being on benefits or anyone else's.

I know many people at my workplace that are single parents..they work. They don't sit at home relying on handouts. It's all too easy for some... It's great that this country supports single parents etc...some just try hard to support themselves rather than take take take.
My son will pass those ethics on to his children...that's what being a good father/mother is. Laziness breeds laziness... If you watched BS two parents discouraged their daughter from taking a job because it paid more to get welfare. I had such respect for a 16 year old girl who went against their wishes to work and earn her own money for her own self esteem and pride.
It's nobody's fault but the government for installing this mentality...but my admiration goes out to my son and others who have the pride to earn a living and demonstrate good ethics to others and children.

its like trying to guess how many illegal immigrants are here, no one knows
how on earth can they calculate this when theres so many millions getting away with it.....also the whole get a doctors note excusing you from work because youre depressed? yet many of the people i know claiming for that reason are out spending their benefits on booze
