I don't understand what she's trying to prove?

She is normally a slim person with her lifestyle/habits and purposely increases her own consumption/diet for the sole purpose of gaining weight and then allowing that weight to drop off as she reverts back to the way she was.

So? What is this proving about other people whose life/circumstances/'natural' build are completely different?

It's like starving someone until their skin and bone and claiming it proves dieting is easy.

She wasn't trying to prove anything. She had another 'lets shock everyone' idea and took it.

Even she is clever enough to know that being fat/skinny isn't so black and white. Will she admit that? No, because her ultimate aim is to go against everyone and everything and milk in the money from her temporary TV media fame.

To be fair to her she does it well. If that's her way to get noticed then fair enough. For me it's a boring act though.
