After reading story after story such as this one "Big shake-up for maternity care" about changes to the NHS I want to pose the question is the "NHS safe in New Labors Hands?"

The government are slowly privatising the NHS by the backdoor. Some of the reasons for this is that it is cheaper to get private contractors to do the work than have the NHS employ their own people. To me this doesn't make sense, these private contractors are working for the NHS to make a profit. More and more services are going to private healthcare companies. When was the last time your GP came out to see you in the middle of the night? Slowly Hospitals are becoming public funded companies. How long before they become real companies and are floated on the stock exchange to raise extra revenue? |
