Default illegal dog market - xmas thriving

illegal dog market - xmas thriving 07.12.16

we are well into december
everyone is financially struggling
lets hope no one can last year remember
my quilt points to smuggling.
lots will fancy a blond
others settle for a brunette
concerned about waving the wand
others don't care as long as goes in the baguette.
not to worried about protection
reminds me of last friday in that cab
no unfamiliar sores have detection
she swore blind she had the jab.
how are they being treated
are they being kept in dirt and squalor
the madam was so polite when greeted
showing me the one that loves the dog collar.
what is the fuss
every christmas i have this dilemma
this campaign will have no plus
the illegal dog market won't tremor.

There are LOADS of dogs and puppiues available through reputable charities - PACT, the Dog's Trust, RSPCA Etc.. Anyone who supports the puppy trade is a moron and everyone should feel free to tell them so. Puppy traffickers and puppy mill owners should be reported to the police and the RSPCA immediately by everyone who comes into contact with them.

Whilst I do agree with you, and I have never purchased any dogs/puppies this way, the soft touch in me would be tempted to want to 'save' the poor animals in that situation. It is a hard one.

I agree that the wanting to save the puppies would play a large part with me too. But to stop these horrific practises and cruel treatment of dogs, they must be reported and put a stop to.

Yes, I get that. But it just continues the cycle. Report them and let the RSPCA remove and rehome the dogs.

I believe all dogs should be licenced and should wear their licence on their collar. And if someone who is not a licenced breeder wants to breed their pet dog, they should have to apply for a licence to do that. And the penalties for not licencing your dog, for allowing your dog to have an unlicenced litter or for any other irresponsible act concerning a pet should be HUGE.

It's a privilege to own a pet; a privilege and a responsibility... as all of us decent pet owners appreciate.

Far from strengthening powers in animal protection the mood is to strip thr RSPCA of the power they already have, which is madness as it would see this problem explode

Every dog must be chipped now but this doesn't seem to be enforced at all

They should be enforcing it hard... fining them, confescating their possessions if they don't pay... stop farting around and worrying about being the bad guy.

A word about the elderly and sick... anecdotal of course... I have a relative who used to be a dog warden in a London Borough. He left because of the terrible neglect and abuse he saw at the hands of people who were mentally ill and living in the community and he could do nothing about it. Sickening.

That's awful. I can't even bear to think about what may have been happening. Mentally ill or not people should not be allowed to have animals if they can't or won't look after them properly.
