So it's 3am here and I was woken up by scratching noises in my room. As I'm waking up, I freeze realising the noises aren't coming from my dream and I'm pretty sure I hear footsteps. 30 seconds later I turn around and to my absolute ****ing horror, my LOCKED bedroom door is wide open, my closet (which was shut) is partly open and my bathroom door is open a tad too. I run (naked) might I add) to shut the bedroom door and grab a weight from my floor as a weapon for checking my closet. I check and there's no one there, thank ****

I'm still too scared to check my bathroom but I'm sleeping with a knife under my pillow for now.

All of these doors were shut when I went to sleep 3 hours ago. I'm freaking the **** out. My bedroom door won't lock now and I don't know why

No, I live my dad his wife and my sister. My sister and I have a connected bathroom so I'm trying to pluck up the courage to go and check

I would not advise using a knife on an intruder as stabbing someone does not stop them and 9/10 the weapon will be used on you. Pepper spray is much better as it will disarm the intruder allowing you to flee.

Too many women think a knife or some sort of club will have an effect, it wont. Get pepper spray. Or as you are in the USA get gun-trained and get a small effective gun like the Ruger LC9s (9mm)



But I stress get trained on how to use it and get plenty shots fired at your local range. The Ruger is made in the USA so helps make America great.
