Glastonbury Festival is almost here & the line-up is revealed!

Link & Article below:- http://www.metro.co.uk/fame/article....5&in_page_id=7 Full Glastonbury line up revealed Friday, June 1, 2007 The Gossip are one of the big acts to playThe Who, The Killers and the Arctic Monkeys will headline this year's Glastonbury festival after the full line-up was unveiled today. The Gossip, Rufus Wainwright, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Paul Weller, Chemical Brothers and Shirley Bassey are also among the 200 acts set to perform at the three day event. The artists will be playing to the largest Glastonbury crowds ever, after organisers extended capacity to 177,500. The new capacity allowance was agreed as part of a new four-year license for the band. Organiser Michael Eavis said: 'The line-up this year is so good we've even surpassed ourselves.' 'From the snazziest new bands to the old boys' specials, you've not seen anything like this before - anywhere,' he added. Other big names gracing the festivals main stage include, Kasabian, The Fratellis, Bloc Party and The Kooks. Bjork, The Coral, Editors and Babyshambles will be performing on the event's Other stage. Headlining the John Peel Stage will be Hot Chip and The Twang. The festival is returning after a two year break with organisers introducing registration for tickets for the first time. A small number of returned tickets to the Somerset event go on sale on the See Tickets website on Sunday. The festival begins on June 22. nodisharmony ![]() |
