BIG BROTHER ANNOUNCES FIRST NIGHT NOMINATIONS AND SURPRISE EVICTION
Tonight at 8.30pm, 12 new housemates entered the newly designed Big Brother house live on Channel 4. For some, this will be their home for nine weeks - but for one, this will be their first and only week! After just a few hours together, Big Brother announced to the housemates that they would have to nominate one of their group for eviction based only on their first impressions. A surprise eviction will take place in just a week’s time on Friday 30th May. At the beginning of the 10.45pm show, Big Brother called each of the housemates individually to the diary room in alphabetical order. As they sat in this year’s new diary room chair, much to their surprise, each was asked to nominate one of their fellow housemates and give reasons why. Big Brother informed them that whoever they chose would automatically be put to the public vote, facing possible eviction next Friday. Before leaving the diary room, Big Brother also forbade the housemates to discuss what they had been asked to do or indicate any aspect of the nomination to the rest of the group. Once each housemate had made their nomination, the group sat together as Big Brother announced that 4 of their number were up for eviction. The 4 housemates to face the public vote this week are: Anouska, Federico, Jon and Scott. Whilst the housemates do not know how each of the others actually voted in the privacy of the diary room, we can divulge who voted for who…. Anouska nominated Jon because “I found talking to him quite awkward” Cameron nominated Anouska because “I think she’s kind of young, acts quite young …she’s a bit too loud for my liking” Federico nominated Jon because “I possibly thought in the remote back of my mind I could relate to (him) the least” Gos nominated Anouska because “I think she’s a little bit young and…a bit loud and a bit mental but first impressions – she’s quite cool as well” Jon nominated Anouska “I was hoping there wasn’t going to be someone hugely loud in the house, but she seems to be the one” Justine nominated Anouska “the simple reason I think there’s kind of a personality clash, don’t know if it’s the age thing, but I think she’s too much in your face… Nush nominated Scott “just because I think everyone’s made a bit more effort to come over and speak to me” Ray nominated Jon because “of the whole lot of us, he’s been the quietest, everyone’s having a good old laugh except him” Scott nominated Anouska because “she keeps calling me Travis, which isn’t a good reason I know, but I’m not warming to her as well as the others straight away” Sissy nominated Anouska because “she come out saying that if anyone’s got bitchy comments I’m just going to say them” Steph nominated Federico because “I know it’s harsh..but he takes himself too seriously and he only wants to be called Federico and that’s a bit of a mouth full” Tania nominated Jon because “I haven’t really spoken to him and I think everyone’s giving a lot of information and he’s a bit quiet” The tally, after the first round of eviction nominations, are as follows: Anouska 6 Cameron 0 Fredrico 1 Gos 0 Jon 4 Justine 0 Nush 0 Ray 0 Scott 1 Sissy 0 Steph 0 Tania 0 To vote: This year viewers can vote via phone, text message, website and via their remote control.
