Caged terror boss Andre Shoukri is seething with fellow inmates after they nicknamed him "Gerry" - after the gay Big Brother contestant!

The ousted UDA godfather is being taunted about his resemblance to the camp-as-a-row-of-tents Greek reality TV star by other lags in Maghaberry.

A senior jail source told us the north Belfast thug "flew into rage" after being called Gerry.

Shoukri is believed to have warned other jailbirds he would "sort them" if they referred to him as Gerry again.

It's understood dissident republican inmates originally coined the nickname for Shoukri after spending hours watching the Channel 4 show.

Added the senior source: "Andre wasn't too happy when some of the boys said that the dissidents were telling people in the jail he was a ringer for Gerry from Big Brother.

"Some of his own boys started calling him Gerry and he couldn't take it. He was furious and warned some of them.

"Andre always tells people how much of a ladies' man he is - the last thing he wants is to be compared to a gay Greek!

"The dissidents are having a right laugh - it won't be long before he explodes and attacks someone, because he has a fiery temper. The name will probably stick with him now, so he might have to stop wearing those trademark tight T-shirts.

"It's just as well they didn't nickname him 'Seany' - after the gay Derryman who was in Big Brother earlier on!"

Last week Sunday Life revealed how Shoukri's former pal-turned-bitter-enemy Johnny 'Mad Dog' Adair was proud to be a gay icon.

Adair, who denies being bisexual, made the claim after internet hoaxers posted a spoof personal message from the exiled terrorist on popular website Bebo.

Speaking last night, Adair said: "I am a gay icon and I have homosexual friends.

"Maybe Andre Shoukri has something to hide if he doesn't want to be labelled homosexual.

"Maybe prison has changed him and he secretly loves the fact that he looks like a gay man, because they can be great characters."
