News from Ananova today:

Big Brother 3 housemates to be kept secret

The identities of the new Big Brother housemates will be kept secret until the very last minute.

Channel 4 say this is because the contestants are entering the house live on TV.

The station wants to make the contestants' identities a surprise to everyone, including their fellow housemates.

The Big Brother 3 contestants will be shown entering the house live on Channel 4 at 9pm on May 24.

A spokesman for Big Brother told Ananova: "Nothing's going to be released before the first show. So it's a question of watching the first programme."

Contestants for Big Brother 1 and 2 were revealed prior to their first shows because they entered the houses off-camera.

Blimey, Endemol/Channel 4 really are playing things close to their chest this year, aren't they?

And this still suggests that BB3 won't be starting until 24th May - I don't know what to believe any more!

the ads on channel 4 say 24th as well, so Im sure it is.

I remember last year there were photos and basic info (name, age etc) about the housemates given to the press the day they went in, I asssume we wont get that this year then?!
