Here is some news about it:
"HorrorMovies has received some news about the upcoming fourth "Scream" movie, which could end up being a sequel or a reboot of the franchise.
If it is a reboot, the new "Scream" film should have a new cast, but Jamie Kennedy recently revealed to iFMagazine that he will reprise his role as Randy Meeks even though his character was killed off in the second film.
He also mentioned that the rest of the cast would be a mixture of new characters with "old faces that you wouldn't believe" and will involve director Wes Craven in some way.
Tentative script writer Michael T. Kennedy has previously stated that most of the old characters, including Sidney Prescott, have been written into the script one last time. That makes the fourth installment seem more like a sequel.
At this point, The Weinstein Company is looking over the script and trying to decide if they will go with it. Craven might be interested in returning to helm and has reportedly even sat down with Neve Campbell to talk to her about doing the new movie.
More information should start being released, since "Scream 4" is set to begin production early this year."
