Default Nadia on way

Friday, 27th May 2005

ALTOGETHER now: "Oh my God!" - for Big Brother winner Nadia Almada - who made famous that exclamation, is coming to Manchester.

The Portuguese transsexual will be appearing in the city's gay village to launch an event for the Make Poverty History campaign.

It's just been confirmed that she will launch the White Band Weekend, giving a speech in Sackville Park tomorrow, at 6pm, to urge members of the lesbian and gay community to back the campaign.

Then the glamorous reality TV star will organise a human chain across Canal Street to represent the white wristband that symbolises the campaign.

The event will take place less than 24 hours after the contestants on this year's series enter the Big Brother house.

So Nadia had better make the most of all this attention - her stint as reigning champion is nearly over.
