Default so when are our kids supposed to watch?

I know everyone of sick of hearing people coplain about no live feed during the day but I have two very disgruntled 8 year olds gutted that they cannot watch big brother this year. they can't even stay up to watch the night time show because of all the swearing etc so please tell us Big Brother when do the children in this country watch? It's very unfair

I'm in no way conservative, but Big Brother is simply not appropriate for 8 year olds.

Dare I say the live feed was great for leaving kids plumped in front of it all day without a care in the world.

*sigh*

In my view, the inclusion of an Irish housemate, and the inability of the Irish Republic to vote this year because Channel 4 were too lazy to fix the lines is an even bigger issue, at least in Ireland, than the damn live feed.

Nobody seems to have thought of that...

I started watching at 9 years old, my friends started at about 11. It hasnt really ruined me lol.
I think it was because when it came to nudity and sex, it didnt bother me, i was actually quite mature for my age back then

I don't see why 8 year olds would be interested in it. When my 10 year old nephew asked what Big Brother was all about, I explained and he replied 'So, it's just people living in a house'. To which i had no reply. lol

I'm not saying it would ruin you Salv, and with all due respect to other parents, I'm just expressing my view as a parent. I don't allow my children to watch it. I don't allow them on the internet unsupervised either.

I'd rather they not learn things about life through TV and Internet.

Thank you Luminis I'll let them watch the swear free nudity free one in the morning. PS: to everyone saying it's not for children..... that was the point I was making, the live feed was suitable for children to watch because they edited it to make it suitable for daytime viewing, but thank you for your opinions, and for making me feel like a bad mother

No, my kids do not just sit in front of the live feed all day, they used to just watch it a little, and they are supervised AND i don't let them on the internet unsupervised. Seems that there are a lot of judgmental people on these forums this year.

Still though, you have no argument. Young kids make up a TINY fraction of the BB audience.

Oh no i didnt mean it like that , the "it didnt ruin me" was a bit of humour, i cant really show how im saying things on here over a computer lol

Its completely fair that you wouldnt let your kids watch, I kind of support that, i mean 8 year olds shouldnt watch because it is rude especially the language and nudity.

That's ok Salv..

GiGi : I was not insinuating you were a bad mother. I was merely expressing my own personal viewpoint. Nobody tells me how to raise my children, and I wouldn't dream of telling you how to raise yours.

Yeah but even so, if they watch a little a day they can't be missing much. I'm not being judgemental i just dont see the point of making a big deal out of something not worth making a big deal out of.

In all fairness.... I wasn't looking for an argument, although judging your comments in a lot of the discussions it seems that you are

Seriously everyone, I really wasn't making a big deal... it was just meant to be something for discussion, didn't realise it would cause such a fuss, sorry, I'm new to this as you can probably tell, blame my naivety (and I can't spell either lol) flowers for everyone
