If you've watched the news you will be aware of the current tensions in Iran. If you don't know, its very easy to follow.

There was a disputed election, and a lot of Iranian's do not want this President in power - so they are protesting, saying the vote was rigged which it may have been. Police have been roaming the streets now and have been given the right to use live ammunition on the protestors - today one man was killed, many injured.

But the people are still fighting to get democracy in their country.

TWITTER is being used by Iranians at the moment, people saying that their is still shootings and noise in the capital, Tehran. Its really terrible to see people talking on Twitter, saying that they are having to move locations because the Police is looking for them. SMS Texts have been blocked, an Arabic News channel and the BBC website has been blocked to all Iranians - the government don't want people to know the situation.

I know this is not the right sort of forum to bring up all these matters but I think it is important. I'm 16 but I watch the news and seeing people on Twitter fleeing the police in Iran is just amazing - to think these Iranians are fleeing their homes because the police is after them JUST for wanting a free, fair country.

Twitter is really interesting to keep an eye on to find out what is happening and I personally hope these rallies continue until the President is taken out of power.
