oh i know, its one of my little annoyances that noone cares about but i post anyway

The reason the self-serve woman is hovering over you is because a) lots of people get confused by the self-serve tills and b) lots of people who aren't confused by them will try to cheat them to save money, which is why the shop I work at got rid of 'em.
