Straight after he did that Marcus started bitching about him.

This always happens with Marcus for me, just when I start really liking him, he acts like a baby again and throws his toys out of the pram.

I doubt in any shape or form it was an intended implemented thought as it was a continuation from his conversation with halfwit a few mins earlier outside,but if you want to grasp at straws trying to blacken him so be it

Halfwit was probably saying what he thought Marcus wanted to hear. It would have obviously been discussed earlier but it wasn't shown.
