So Jade has been banned from nominating next week because she persisted in talking about past nominations despite being warned before.

I thought I'd heard this earlier on E4, but I wasn't really concentrating so I wasn't sure.

It seems an odd sort of punishment. I don't think I'd be too bothered about not having to nominate. The only people it benefits are the ones she would have voted for and therefore it distorts the figures.

If she influences others by talking about her choices it does not stop them from nominating.

I think banning Jade from voting actually increases her chances of being nominated for eviction.

In that way, it's quite a strict punishment. That is, if she really wants to stay there. She has been unhappy today, I believe, at the thought of spending another week in the "Poor" side.

Sorry to disagree, but I think that not being able to nominate others will actually go in Jade's favour!

If the other housemates know that she can't nominate them, they might feel that it would be unfair to nominate her!

Does that make sense?

I think bb's desperate to gain some control, I've a feeling they know it's already starting to go pear shaped. It's becoming one desperate measure after another.

Yeah, but at the end of the day people moan when BB get all soft on the housmates and now people moan cos they get too strict.
They said that they were getting tougher this year - the housemates knew this and applied 4 the show - BB would be contradicting themselves if they didnt do anything.
Jade knew she shouldnt mention nominations - esp who shes nominated, she admitted herself how stupid she was. They cant let her off, can they? ITS BIG BROTHER!!!

I agree with miriam. Not being able to nominate could well result in Jade being up for nomination herself. Her two votes could be vital to the final outcome.

It's a game show so there is no need to believe others will be sympathetic towards her and avoid nominating her.

I think she is now a sitting target. If Alex gets nominated along with Jade then I think Jade will be gone. It's a very cruel punishment from BB.
