I think some people (myself included) might find Maxwell obnoxious, rude, loud, arrogant, aggressive, and not funny. I'll readily admit that Science is hot headed and can be loud, but I find him funny, insightful and intelligent. His heart is in the right place. So it all comes down to people's opinions.

There are two reactions people have had to a someone with Maxwell's character. You like it or you don't. It's quite black and white. Look at all the problems that has caused on the board during scabgate.

This weeks vote was a simple vote either to keep him in or get him out and the public decided it was time for him to go.

I think one reason he went was because he, and everyone around him, were so convinced he was going to win the show.

We dont like being told who to like and who not to, and who is going to win a particular programme.

Also I think people were seeing things in Maxwell that they didnt like - the underlying aggression when he didnt like what someone said or did was not a nice side to his personality. Also his inability to admit that he had done anything wrong - wasnt me attitude doesnt go down well when we can see it happening on the screen.
