It's obvious that Charlie is trying to push Rodrigo to leave. And in the process bring down Rodrigo's popularity. They know Rod is well liked and the gang of Charlie/Lisa/David and Bea want to share the winnings when they have got rid of everyone else. It's also one of the reasons they encourage Sophie to make a tit of herself all the time and give her loads of their drink - letting Sophie ruin it for herself- not that that drunk slag Sophie needs any help in making herself look a tit!

Oh Charlie is in it to win it and I think Freddie's departure made him realise how close he was now that it was all up in the air. Remember, they all thought that Freddie was the favourite so him leaving must be having a huge effect on the real gameplayers in there.

Charlie feels that Rodrigo is a real contender for the prize and he'll do anything to cast him in a bad light. He's definitely pushing his buttons intentionally.
