Her facing the crowd & seeing that she's actually very much hated was going to be the best part

I don't know much about these messages..did someone else step in instead of her mum? How come she was expecting her mum in the first place?

You know the code thing makes sense also cos up till now she was sure she was liked (cos she's such a nice person!)yet now she's sure she'll go if she's up? hmm
