Ok, cheating a bit here cuz it's not really synonymous with the Bond franchise or with the character of Bond, but this song is absolutely timeless and the string arrangement from Barry is so wonderful. Helps having a legend like Armstrong singing too just before he parted this world, which instills it with an added poignancy.

If you're talking about opening tracks though, this is the one they've all tried to beat but I don't think it can be touched. It has everything you want from a Bond theme.

This would have to be my sentimental favourite opening track though, simply because I believe that Dalton was the greatest represenation of Fleming's Bond and both the soundtrack and the movie itself are hugely underrated. Definitely in my top 3 Bond films of all time.
