British Soap Awards Date Moved
Bad news soap fans - it looks like you'll have to wait a week longer than usual to watch this year's British Soap Awards.
ITV has allegedly taken the decision to shunt the BSAs back a week in order to avoid a clash with the Europa League final.
Soapland's largest annual awards event - which is due to be filmed on Saturday, May 8 - was originally slated to air the following Wednesday (May 12), in line with previous years.
However, due to the potential of an all-English fixture (Liverpool v Fulham) on Five that night, ITV has apparently pushed the awards into the following week.
Final scheduling has yet to be confirmed but network sources suggest that Wednesday, May 19 is the most likely date.
