The World Cup! Wimbledon! The Tour de France! (What do you mean, you don’t get the Tour de France? Amazing scenery, buns of steel and a Guess Which Cyclist Is NOT On Drugs? sweep-stake: what’s not to like?)

And – ta da! – the last ever Big Brother.

BB has been the summer sporting competition of choice for the past 10 years, but it’s way past its prime now.

They should have killed it off last year.
Do you really want your evenings filled with the antics of scary wannabes you wouldn’t usually let past your gate, let alone invite into your living room?

The only way to save this year’s Big Brother is to make it into a real sporting event.

Force all those strange idiots to do the shot put, the parallel bars, run a *marathon, perform synchronised swimming…

Then we might be interested again.
