I think he will Fail  , knowing the crowd if they're not told to shut up they will cheer loud so he wins.

If the crowd are told to Cheer: He will win
If the crowd aren't told anything/to react however they want: He will lose It's very boring actually, there's no chance that the crowd will actually cheer him of their own free will
